My Projects
My mind never stops, I am always trying to improve things, and I drink way to much coffee. I love arts subjectivity and its endless boundaries, so when I am feeling creative a project is the perfect way for me to repair, build or even sometimes break things. However with art a mistake can be a beautiful thing.
I embarked on a mission to build a snare drum made of solid African Wenge. I choose DW hardware even though to this day they will not sell you lugs unless you return the old ones. So I purchased all the hardware one piece at a time until I had the entire set. In the end it was the best drum I ever played or made and I gave it to another drummer who help me off stage after opening for OTEP in a crazy small venue. I lost touch with the drummer but I have a feeling he appreciated it and DW can relax I didn’t resell their product. I actually appreciate and admire everything DW makes and this was for fun.
